Left At The Lighthouse Chap 2Chapter 2
Larina turned another corner to be stopped in her tracks, ruining any chances of her getting home dry. Wow. She thought blankly. The lighthouse stood errily at the very edge of a cliff, overlooking the rough water. It was taller than the tallest mast she'd ever seen. The faded whitewashed stone walls looked almost crooked, leaning out towards the now setting horizon. The cracked light looked like it hadn't been used it years. It had a veil of dust and cobwebs drooped over it as proof. The side bars, which looked one day to have been red along the top were rusted and a area of fence was missing. Left At The Lighthouse Chap 1“Great.” Larina had just got her things out of her locker as the familiar sound of rain started pounding the roof of Bayside State School. Why did it have to start pouring on the day the bus brokedown? Larina thought as she fumbled with her books trying to put her coat on. Ugh, figures. Larina started down the hallway towards the old squeaky school doors. A group of girls with their coats held high above their heads trying to escape the rain, all crashed through the door all at once, Larina fell on her backside throwing her books up in all different directions. yeah i am. well used to be. sorta.
